- Help required for ADS in Windows 2003 server
- Posted by A.lakshminarayanan on July 28th, 2004
First let me introduce myself. I am Lakshminarayanan . I
am facing a problem in the ADS on Windows 2003 on a
Intel server board (SE7501BR2). It was working perfectly
when the master destination and target destination were
both desktop machines. Now when I am trying to work with
both as server boards, with SCSI hard disk it is not
working with the adaptec 320 scsi driver. In both
circumstances controller was a server board. Controller
is getting control of the target destination and it can
perform all kind of operations, even for image
deployement it is issuing the command. It partitions the
disk of the target destination and then it is showing an
error "The network circuit was disconnected. I/O device
showed an I/O error". What is the actual problem here?
How can I solve it?

What kind of network are you connected to? Try forcing the network card to be 10/full (or 100/full if that is what the port is configured for). The NIC may be trying to negotiate at 1000/full, or you might be having an issue with Auto Negotiate. AutoNeg has been known to cause issues and network collisions so it's always best to force a servers NIC to whatever speed it will be running at (and force the switch port too).
