With Windows 2003, how should a QLogic 2200F be configured so that drives
that are LUNs show up under Device Manager and Disk Manager? In our case
the drives are behind a fibre channel bridge, so they show up as LUNS behind
the bridge, which has an ID on the fibre loop. If the fibre bridge is
ID=1, then the drive behind the fibre bridse is LUN=2.
At boot time, the QLogic BIOS is enabled and it reports the presence of the
drive. Windows 2000 has no problem seeing the drive. Windows 2003 does
not see the drive at all.
Eventually we want to boot from the device through fibre. QLogic lets you
select which device is the boot device, so that part seems straight forward,
as long as we can get the drive to be seen by Windows 2003 at all.
