- Inactivity policy to lock workstation
- Posted by Matthew on September 23rd, 2004
Can anyone help with this.
I want to be able to set up a group policy to enable
password lockout if a user leaves their computer
unattended for a short period of time.
This is similar to password protected screen saver but I
want to apply it across the whole domain. Is this
possible?
Regards
Matthew

higher with w2k or higher clients.
If you want to implement it for every computer on your domain then:
start Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) go to domain name.
right click and select properties, go to policy tab. klik on Default
Domain policy and then edit, or create a special GPO for this by
clicking on new ( i would recommend this one)
in the policy editor navigate to: User configuration->Administrative
templates->Control Panel->Display
there are the settings you can change.
