I have a question and thought to get some inputs from you Gurus.

Current File Server - MS Windows 2003 Standard Edition, single server with
1.5GB of data, attached to SAN. DFS

What we would like to acheive at the end of the project.
High Available File server with MSCS.
I have a second server with similar hardware, which we can use as a second
node.


Trying to brain storm the easiest way and less downtime solution for the
conversion.
I understand we can migrate from Standard 2003 to ENT.
But will it keep all the share and permissions intact ?
What effect does it have on the SAN storage ?
Do I need a third temporary server?
Is there an easy way to move the existing file shares along with the
permissions to the cluster share ?
Any other things I should think of ?
