When starting up the server, when it reaches applying network connections,
the server seems to stall and nevewr fininshes loading, you have to push the
restart or power completely down and power back on then reaches applying
network connections which still seems to take awhile then it loads to the
desktop. What causes it to run like that?

Mister-
Generally, this is caused by Wrong network settings / DNS settings / WINS settings.
Once logged on, I would suggest you to log back in and check the network settings..

Do you have a APC UPS fitted?, if so is it running version 6.xx, if so then
update NOW to version 7.xx.
