I have a problem with ntbackup on a 2003 server with sp1.

Every time i start a backup the server hangs and stop responding, ping is
possible! It´s not a bluescreen.

I tried to start the backup from commandline with the parameter /SNAPff.
Then it works! e.g.:

ntbackup backup C:\ /J "Backup Job 1" /F "e:\backup.bkf" /SNAPff

With the following command line I have got the problem:
NTBACKUP.EXE backup "@C:\Backup\Daily.bks" /j "%Tapename%" /p "DLT" /um
/SNAPff

In a Microsoft Article is described that the SNAP parameter is ignored with
SP1.

Can i switch off the volume shadow copy or not???
