Pagefile size for a domain controller
Posted by Sabo, Eric on February 21st, 2005

I am looking for a best practice in sizing my pagefile for a domain
controller. Is it still physical memory plus 12 megs? Is there any
technet articles on this topic?

"Is it still physical memory plus 12 megs?"

I don't see that recommended anymore, and by default the pagefile for
XP/2003 is as shown in the configuration and article below.

Min. Physical RAM x 1.5
Max. 4095 MB (the maximum limit on a system with 4GB of Physical RAM)

in Windows 2000, and in Windows NT:

Todd,
Thanks, I found that article also. Is there any best practices papers
for domain controllers in the way of settings?

Not that I have seen. Should be the same as the article states.
