- Permissions required to manage remote computer
- Posted by weaverbeaver on March 20th, 2008
When logging onto a server I am able to access computer management and view
the event viwer, services etc. however, if I try to connect to another server
from the computer management mmc, the computer management 'tree' is displayed
but if I try to access any of the branches such as event viwer or services I
get an 'Access Denied' error message. The account is not a domain admin
(which does work) . This account worked when the servers were windows 2000.
Can anybody please advise on a possible cause for this? Does the account
need to be a member of domain admins to do this or maybe another group?
any suggestions appreciated
Karl
