Plug and Play and Server Service Error

2 new errors have started appearing on my server the last couple of days.
Nothing has changed but the 2 errors are:

1) Event ID: 2510 Server Service (The server service was unable to map
error code 998) - on restart
2) Event ID: 257 PlugPlayManager Service (Timed out sending notification of
target device change to window of "C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE") - occurs once a
day and requires a restart to clear.

This is on a Windows 2003 R2 Standard SP2. Internet searches seem to
indicate a Symantec product causing problem and there is Symantec Endpoint
client installed.

Anyone else run across this kind of problem?

We had quite a few issues with Symantec's Endpoint. We ended up going back to
Norton Corporate version 10.

I would search the Symantec site or uninstall Endpoint and see if that fixes
it.
