R2 - DFS replication - Sharing violations

I have DFS replication working fine

How do I report on the number of files replicated during a specific time
period ?
How do I report on the number of MB replicated during a specific time period ?

Why is there no reporting component like SMS where I can just point people
to pull their own reports in real time ? Surely you don't have to remote onto
the server and run a diagnostic report to show management information

Why are all these sharing violation events logged all the time, users will
be using files - so whats the point??
