- Recycling backup sets on NTbackup
- Posted by Bacibear on January 24th, 2006
I want to create a backup scenario where NTbackup backs up one file daily fo
two weeks, then starts over again, using the oldest backup file. The idea is
to allow the customer to go back in time up to two weeks.
I can get NTbackup to build the two week backup set by appending the file.
I cannot figure how to make it start overwriting files more than two weeks
old.
Any suggestions?

You need to write a script for this. In the script you will be calculating
the file name and passing it to NTBackup.
