- hey guys i have few questions about roaming profiles.
1. what happens if a user with a roaming profile using a particular software
and login in a different computer in which the software is not available.
2. what happens if the software is available but its in a different directory
path, will windows automatically find the path.

Nothing particular. The software shortcut will (probably) show up on the
menu but will point to a nonexistent program and won't work of course.
Usually the same -- although it might work out if the user searchs for the
source of the shortcut.
Better is to put the shortcuts (for most normal software) in the "all users"
profile
and then anyone who logs on to the machine where it is installed can use it.

Yes, place shortcuts in All Users. The usual case is just to move the ones
in a particular profile over to the All Users profile.
Just like you would move or copy or create any other file. Shortcuts on the
Start->Programs menus are just .lnk files in a set of directories.
The usual case is just to move the ones in a particular profile over to the
All Users profile.
