- Server 2003 reinstallation
- Posted by Joe Auerbach on December 31st, 2007
I have a small 1-server W2k3 domain for a volunteer group that I work with.
The original W2k3 CD has been misplaced, and the server has gotten corrupted
to the point that it doesn't see itself as a W2k3 machine (when trying to run
ADUC, for example, it responds that it can't run on a W2k machine).
I can get a W2k3 CD to do a re-install, but I don't have the original
authorization code. Is there anyplace in the registry that I can find this,
so that I can use the same one to reinstall ?
Thanx for any forthcoming help

You will probably need to call M$ an let them know. If this was a
purchased copy they will help you, and if not, limewire can help you.

Thanx, Holz. This copy was actually given to our group my MS, I'm trying to
follow up with them but I've since changed jobs, so I don't have contact with
that person any more.
Also, who is "limewire" ?
