Server Locks up and then returns after 6 to 10 minutes.

Hi,

We are running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition on a Dell server
PE2800 with 6.0 G of RAM running Service Pack 2. Every Monday between 9:15
am and 9:30 am the server locks up for about 6 to 9 minutues. If I run task
manager before this occurs, the Server Utilization only runs at 1 to 2
percent during entire the lock up time (updates are displayed in the task
manager window and I can move the task manager window around on the screen).
The LEDs on the server hard drives flash pretty much solid during this time
(using RAID LEVEL 5). During the lock up, you cannot click on any desktop
icon, the start bar, time, etc. When it nears the end of the lock up a
Server Busy Message is displayed and then the lock up ends. A while back, we
ran spyware scanning software and it did find a couple of problems and
cleaned them up. We have always been running Trend Micro Antivirus and have
not found any thing specific in the logs. Any ideas for things to check
would be appreciated. Otherwise, we probably will have to do a complete
backup - reinstall - restore.
Thanks for your assistance in advance.

Check to see if you have any scheduled tasks running. Even if you
don't, try disabling windows scheduler service(s), and wait till
monday...

Thanks JR, we will give that a try and I'll respond back whether it helped or
not.
