Server restarts, and a stop message is logged.

I nedd some help to analyce a stop-error on a Proliant server with W2003 Std
Ed.

About twice a week (not at the same days) the server restarts at the time
the backup exec starts its job. In HP Insight Diagnostics i get a
stop-message ( can not find it in event viewer) like thisrefering to the OS)

System Crash: BugCheck, STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x8059DCAC,
0xF325D5B0, 0x00000000)
Perhaps an importen thing; the value "0xF325D5B0" changes every time, rest
is the same.

I have searced Veritas support-sites, but can“t find anything about this.

I need some help to analyse this.
Thanks

That's not much to go on. I think that STOP 0x8E can point to memory, so it
couldn't hurt to run a diagnostic.

Use dumpchk to check the memory dump file
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q156280/, and post back with more info.

My first thought is that the backup exec service is set to restart the
server when it fails, and that's probably worth checking.

There's a kb article at
<http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;904838> on 'You
receive a "Stop: 0x0000008E" error message when you back up or copy files
from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 SP1 to a network drive
by using Windows Services for UNIX 3.5'.

See "You receive a "Stop 0x0000008e" error message occasionally on a Windows
Server 2003-based computer" at
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;883664
