- Setup unable to format partition...anyone?
- Posted by Beyuduzz on April 3rd, 2008
I am receiving a "Setup was unable to format the parition. The disk may be
damaged." error I added new network drivers as directed by many message
boards, and I am able to create PC images using Riprep, but when I attempt to
install that image on another (exact same model) pc, it get this error.
I hit ESC to continue and the I get a permission error that states:
"Setup cannot set permissions for \device\harddisk0\partition2."
I looked at the event log and I get a BINLSVC EVENT ID 1101.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would try a different imaging product.
