Hello

Has anyone installed/used Symantec Corporate AntiVirus Corporate Edition 8.0
on SBS2003. I am finding it very 'challenging finding information on the
Symantec site if it is even supported or and I am having a problem
installing.
I am sure there are plenty of better solutions but its what I got.

Hello,

I just went through the same issues, if this was an
upgrade, you need to uninstall it and reinstall it for it
to work properly. To do this is a process that you need to
follow, it involves the registry etc. buut it works and no
more issues in event viewer afterwards.

If this helps and you need the procedure, email me at
temp "at" sabassoc.com and i will send it to you. Just fix
the email and it will work fine. This is an address that I
use for testing.

Just installed on clean install and it works great. make sure you follow the
instructions on getting you licenses and installing them. If you don't it
will not get definitions for you.

Yeah, Corporate Edition is a pain to install, but once
installed, seems to work.

Where are you getting stuck?

My problem seems to be right from the start.

I don't get the 'Deploy AntiVirus Server' option after I select "Install
Symantec AntiVirus' form the main installation menu. As far as I know this
should be a clean installation.
