Hi,
How would I configured the windows XP workstation TCP/IP to see my 2003
server?
Thanks,
Michael

Generally the same settings with the exception of the fourth octet of the IP
address. Also check your firewall settings.

Dave,
I have two servers and this is what I am using for my Severs Ip addresses
A.192.168.1.2
B.192.168.1.3
and the default gateway is 192.168.1.1
Now should I should just change the last octet number to any number?
and what am I looking for via my firewall (also I have DSL and D-Link fire
wall)
Thanks,
Cassandra

A good example Jessica is one I just did today perhaps.
I set the client's up as follows:
Client01 - 192.168.1.10
Client02 - 192.168.1.20 and so on...
Obviously this will only work for a small network but the client is unlikely
to have more than 20 clients anyway.
Hope that helps...

Sounds right but difficult to say without knowing the network topology.
Looks like probably DSL > Router > clients/servers
If this is correct then yes assign something like 192.168.1.5 to XP. You'll
also need to enable File and Printer Sharing then make an exception on the
Windows firewall for F&P sharing making sure that the scope is set to "My
network (subnet) only"
