- Text searching on 2003
- Posted by Bill Puetz on June 19th, 2004
I've just migrated from Win2K to Win2003, and using Explorer, I cannot seem
to search for text contained ASP files. I have Indexing Services enabled,
and the registry contains the following PersistentHandler value for ASP in
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT:
{eec97550-47a9-11cf-b952-00aa0051fe20}
The searches never return anything, even when there are files in the folder
being search that do contain the text.
I have seen a KB article that seems to indicate that I should have a
different PersistentHandler entry than the one I have. Can someone confirm
that, or tell me how to get my searches working like they did on Win2K?
Thanks!
