- Turn off Power Option features using Group Policy
- Posted by Dave Leonardi on June 23rd, 2004
Good Morning,
I had a question regarding group policy and the Control Panel applet-
Power Options. I have 32 DELL Desktop Computers with XP pro that have been
imaged and already deployed, but I have come across an issue with the
Performance and Maintenance- Power Options feature. I have ultimately
decided to turn off these features as there is no great need for them. I
would like to know if you can set a policy or registry key to disable all
the features such as Turn off monitor, Hard Disks, etc... to NEVER, within
windows power option feature using group policy. I would also like to note
that I am running W3K Servers. I appreciate you time and effort.
Regards,
Dave Leonardi
