- Unable to view Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in Lan Area Connection Properties
- Posted by s.dray@free.fr on October 12th, 2004
Hi,
I have Windows 2003 Std Server in english from an upgrade of Windows
2000.
I cannot listed Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in Lan Area Connection
Properties, i can only view Client for Microsoft Networks and File and
Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks
I cannot view the network adapter attached with this LAN Connection
(in the properties Connecting using is blank).
Thanks for your help

Hi
Is your network adapter listed without an exclamation mark in the device
manager (Windows+Break/Hardware Tab/Device Manager)? It is possible that IP
isn't installed on that machine - in the adapter properties under network
connections, select install/protocol/... and follow the dialog through. Also
see what ipconfig from a command prompt shows.
Hope this helps
John.
