Hi,
This problem is related to a recent installation of WSUS onto a
Windows2003 server on a winnt pdc. I have setup the WSUS clients with a local
gpo(no active directory) to download updates from the server.
On the WSUS server the following error occurs:
One or more update service components could be be contacted. Check your
server status and ensure that the windows server update service is running.
Non-running services: ContentSyncAgent, WSUSService.
The clients do not receive any updates from the server.

You mention a winnit pdc - problem may be related to the server functional
level.
