- virtual server 2005 virtual hard drives
- Posted by Matt on November 17th, 2005
I have a virtual machine (Windows 2000 SP4 with all patches and SQL 2000 SP4)
that's configured with the following hard drives:
VHD1 - 16GB (currently 50GB on disk)
VHD2 - 50GB (currently 50GB on disk)
I'm wondering why VHD1 is taking up so much room on disk. If I log in to
the virtual server and look at the drive in Explorer, there's 13.6GB free. I
can't compact either one because these are on a 124GB partition, and there's
not enough free space to compact. The server is Windows 2003 with all
patches but not SP1 yet.
Thanks in advance,
Matt
