- Visual Basic Script Error
- Posted by Erwin Ras on September 30th, 2004
Dear sirs,
We have installed on the windows 2003 vision emulation
and which runs some VB script for the link with IBM5250. We
have this working on a windows 2000 server. We use the
terminal services and on the 2003 we have noticed that when
running it as an administrator it will run without any
problem, but as a regular user we get "Microsoft VBScript
runtime error
Permission denied: 'CreateObject' Line 1"
We search on the internet but cannot get it to work without
being an administrator. On the windows 2000 we used
regedt32 and set the permission, but with windows 2003 it
doesnot work that way.
Can somebody give me a suggestion on how to fix this problem

I have this problem too, but when creating a printer for the user on the
workstation and without using TS!
I managed to work around it by first logging on as an admin and navigating
to the print server and adding the printer myself, then logging off. After
that, all users are successful when logging on. Very strange indeed.
I would like to see a cause and love to see a workable solution
