Hello,
I currently have setup a working WDS server. I am a network administrator
with domain admin rights and have no problem connecting to the services with
the MMC snapin. Ideally we want the desktop support staff to connect using
the MMC and manage the images instead of a net admin. When I have the
support staff connect the MMC snapin says it cannot find the service on the
selected server. It works when I add them to the local admin group on the
server.
It is not a desirable practice to add them to the local admin group on the
server. WDS will be installed on some domain controllers in the smallers
which do not have local groups. How do I give the support staff rights to
manage WDS without giving them any type of Admin rights?
