- Windows 2003 NTBackup - Required Media Missing!
- Posted by Ninon Chassé on July 19th, 2004
Hi!
Due to huge BSOD problems and compability issues between
our IBM RAID controller and Veritas Backup Exec 9.0/9.1,
we moved our IBM LTO Tape device and Veritas to another
Server. Since we do not have the Remote Agent to run
backup over the network, I've decided to use NTBackup
until we purchase/receive the license. My problem now is
that NTBackup doesn't recognize the device but Veritas
does!
The message I receive if I try to do a backup using
NTBackup is: Required Media Missing. The MediaTools
functions isn't even available! I know there is a tape
in the drive, I've checked! I've also tested Veritas and
backed up to the tape without problems.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
Ninon
