- Windows 2003 Server
- Posted by Candace Sparks on April 14th, 2006
We are running small business server 2003, and will be installing Blackberry
for Exchange Server. We were told that the Blackberry server should not be
installed on our domain controller. It should be installed on another
server. Is it possible to have a stand alone server on the network?
Also, Blackberry requires MSDE 2000. Is that past of MS SQL Server, or is
something separate?
Thank you for your help in advance!!

I have run into this little beasty before. Best solution I have found so far
is to run it in a virtual machine. It just takes so little in the way of
system resources that devoting an entire server to it when it sounds like
you don't even have two DCs is just silly.
