- Windows 2003 SP2
- Posted by James on April 1st, 2008
I was just wondering if there are any known issues with installing sp2 on a
domain controller? Do all domain controllers need to be upgraded to sp2 at
the same time or anything?
Thanks,
James

Hello James,
No, you can do it also on one. I have done it on my DC's without any problem.
They are running DNS and DHCP. I started with my FSMO roles holder and then
make the other one, but this really doesn't matter. You also can start the
other way around, then move all the FSMO roles to the SP2 DC and then do
the other one, so you always have the FSMO holder if the update fails.
