- Windows 2008 iSCSI
- Posted by tman on March 4th, 2008
Does anyone know if Windows 2008 can act as an iSCSI target? I know this was
previously restricted to Windows Storage Server, but I don't know whether MS
have seen fit to include this in 2008.
TIA

No... And it's still for OEMs only and nearly ~$3K if purchased as an
option. DataCore's SANmelody
costs less with more features and you can easily get separate hardware-
based iSCSI solution for nearly
the same money. MS guys are VERY optimistic :-)
But why do you need it? There are free iSCSI targets on the market.
And some (like StarWind
from Rocket Division Software) even work :-)
