- Windows Management Instrumentation Service Fails to start
- Posted by Phil0713 on December 9th, 2004
I have an issue where this service fails to start automatically. I keep
receiveing the message Error 1075: the service does not exist or has been
marked for deletion. I have tried deleting the repository folder, restarting
the service, and that does not fix this issue, and i have also reinstalled
SP4, and no luck to that. The driver extentions service works just fine. This
also affects the SNMP service as this need WMI started to work. You just
can't delete this file and replace with one from another server as this is a
protected windows file, and is automatically replaced when deleted.
Any ideas??
