Windows Server 2003 runs with only one processor (on some dual-processor or multiple-processor servers)

If you install Windows Server 2003 on some dual-processor or
multiple-processor servers, the server may run with only one processor. This
may occur if the server uses some Pentium Pro or Pentium II processors.

The issue affects the following processors: . x86 Family 6 Model 1 Stepping
X GenuineIntel (where X = 1, 2, 6, 7, or 9)
. x86 Family 6 Model 3 Stepping X GenuineIntel (where X = 3 or 4)

However, I have a "Family 6, Model 5 Stepping 1 GenuineIntel ~332 Mhz"
processor and the problem still exists. I have loaded Windows Server 2000
which runs both processors.

Would anyone be so kind as to help me get both processors running?

Thanks,

Jason

It would seem that the only solution is to use different processors.

That's a good question...

It may be that they didn't realize the full scope of the problem in the
original document, and it extends to your processor also.
