- Windows Storage Server2003 - Random Issue : Mapped drive becomes unavailable
- Posted by TechFirm on August 10th, 2006
I have a Windows Storage Server 2003 SP1, that is a member server on a
Windows 2003 SBS domain. I have Windows XP Pro computers running
applications through a mapped network drive (P) to a folder on the Win SS
2003 server. The users can access and run the applications okay. But
sometimes their mapped drive becomes unavailable when working on a file
through the mapped drive. When they are working on a file and try to save it
they get a not able to save error message. They try accessing the p-drive
and get an access denied message. Other users continue to work fine in the
p-drive while this is going on. The user usually has to reboot the XP
computer and it then works fine.
