- can not open subpages (not pop-ups)in explorer to include windows update

Explorer opens find, but when I try to open a subscreen
(my windows pop-up is turned off (using yahoo's blocker))
I get the CAN NOT CONNECT message from windows. When I
try to do a Windows update I get this error code "Error
number: 0x800B0001" This is effective MSN Chat, mail,
etc..
