- Delayed write failed at startup
- Posted by Roger Potie on August 10th, 2003
When I starup Windows XP I cannot get passed the Welcome
Page. I then receive an error message "elayed Write Failed"
The problem is explained under the # 321733 in Support.
Microsoft.com
The fix supposes that one can get into Windows XP. That is
my problem: I cannot reach Windows XP The workaround is to
change a registry. How can I change a registry without
entering Windows? And take a restore point?

If you can get into Safe Mode, you might be able to do it there. Boot the
system, start tapping F8, at the menu choose Safe Mode.
