- Hangs on "Applying computer settings" after logon
- Posted by Eric Romine on October 2nd, 2003
I logon either locally or to the network as administrator
or otherwise and the computer gets to "Applying computer
settings" and hangs. Even in safe mode. Anybody know how
I can get past this? Thanks in advance for your help.

I figured it out. My DNS entries were incorrect. Just
unplugging the network cable allowed the machine to get
to the gui where I was able to correct the DNS entries
and reboot without issue. Thanks anyway,
Eric
