- HELP, Error Message, No socket, error 11004, error #Ox8OOCCOD
- Posted by Thomas Curtis on February 10th, 2007
When I open Outlook Express I immediately receive an error message. (no
socket 11004, error #OxOOCCOD) I cannot remove this error. I have removed
all messages from all folders in Outlook Express. I am connected to the
internet, but am unable to send or receive any emails in Outlook Express
because of this error message???
I have been to the roadrunner national help desk and that person was unable
to solve the problem after an hour of trying. They refered me to microsoft
customer service. They asked for $49 to talk with a service rep. or
suggested this method of asking other XP users.
Has anyone experienced this problem what can I do to remove the error
message?
Tom

Hi Tom,
If you have Anti-virus with E-mail scanner try to disable it and also
Re-Enter the POP, SMTP or the HTTP servers names again with the account name
and password again.
Scan for malwares on your computer to be sure they are not the cause.
Open a run command and type in:
netsh winsock reset click [OK] and Reboot your computer.
HTH.
Let us know.
