- Invalid File Extensions and Invalid ActiveX Controls in WinXP
- Posted by Frabato on May 7th, 2006
My computer has also been crashing quite often, usually when using a video
player or listening to Windows Media Player. Using a Fix Windows repair
program under Norton revealed 5 unfixable problems shown in both the Invalid
File Extensions and Invalid ActiveX Controls.
I have reason to believe that these problems were caused by two different
spyware programs that I had been using and have deleted completely from my
computer when trying to repair it and stop the crashes.
Any help to get my computer to stop crashing would be a great help. I have
saved the print screen image detailing the five problems which I can e-mail
as an attachment to any one who responds. Thanks again.
