I am using windows xp and my hardrive is the F drive. I
recently downloaded a MS update and it stops my access to
most of my own programs.

I run a program off my zip drive (drive c) and the other
programs unlock.

Looks like a run to the computer shop for me.

Microsoft help is unavailable.
