- Mouse not working
- Posted by Matt on March 23rd, 2007
Hi,
I am having a terrible problem with my mouse recently. It's been working
fine for a long time, but now the left click button no longer clicks, but it
acts as a scroll, so when I press it to click on something it does not click,
it just scrolls down. It's unbelievably annoying, as I cannot get anything
done with this. I have looked all over the help topics and cannot find
anything about the issue. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me
out with this. Thanks
Matt

Go to: Start>Run>type DEVMGMT.MSC and press OK.
Scroll down to "Mice and Other Pointing Devices" and
see if there is a yellow exclamation (!) or yellow question (?)
mark on it, which would indicate problems. If not, click the
small (+) sign and rightclick the device and click Properties.
There you can troubleshoot, uninstall, check drivers, etc.
