I was advised by a user of this newsgroup to post my question on "Microsoft
Word Newsgroup." So far I haven't been able to locate that newsgroup or
anything sounding like it. Can anyone help. Thanks.

Click Tools > Newsgroups in OE
Filter by microsoft.public.word then subscript to the newsgroup that you want..
For example :
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof....word.newusers
