- New Service Pack for XP: no mail
- Posted by Fadel Ibrahim on October 24th, 2003
I installed yesterday the new service pack for Windows XP. Since then, I
cannot get any mail via outlook express. The connection to the server is
stopped, error 0x800ccc0F. What do I do? Revert to the configuration of my
computer before the service pack was installed?
Thanks for your help
Fadel

You might try deleting your mail account and setting it up again. Also,
make sure any security software you may be running, firewalls, Norton
Internet Security or any other settings are not blocking your e-mail.
You've just made a rather large change to your setup which includes numerous
security patches and you may need to reset your mail accounts as a result.
Be sure the server names for pop3 and smtp are correct and go through your
ISP mail setup instructions step by step.
