- No RUN command in the start menu
- Posted by Wendy White on July 1st, 2003
When logged in as administrator I can use the run command
but when I am logged in as myseel who has admin rights, I
have no run command.
Have you any ideas what the problem is?? It is ticked in
the properties to show it but it doesn't??

This isn't true at all. Every user can use the "Run" command - it will
always run applications using the token of the current interactive user.
If it's not showing up on your Start menu, right click on the start menu,
and select properties. Click on the Start Menu tab, click properties, go to
the advanced tab, and scroll down in the Start menu items list. Check the
option for Run command. You can also just hit the Windows-R key combination.
Also, you can not use the run command to look at other users' passwords.
These are stored as encrypted text.
