- opening .xls files for all users

I have windowa XP. computer was installed with programs
at purchase. I can open .xls files, but my son cannot.
What do I need to do?

in your son's account right click on a XLS file and choose Open With..Browse
to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE**\EXCEL.EXE and check Always use
this program.
(Substitute ** for the number you see on your's)
