- Outlook connection unexpectedly terminated

I have been trying to use the Outlook feature
that "breaks up" very large messages. It starts to send
it but then I get an error message."connection was
unexpectedly terminated by server." and there is no
error number.
I saw information on this happening when the message is
too big and they had a fix for Microsoft 2000 but I'm on
XP. Any suggestions?
