Paging File
Posted by K.C. Yuen on May 1st, 2004

My os is windowsXP home service pack 1 P4 40 GB disk 1.80 GHz 512 MB ram.
On start up this message appears:
Your system has no paging file or paging file too small.
Then I am advised to
access Control Panel, System, Click Advanced, Click Settings under
performance,
On Advanced tab Click Change, Click Custom Size, Type an initial or maximum
paging file size.
OK

What is the initial or maximum file size I should type in?

Thanks.

First, turn off the paging file, reboot, turn it back on and when you do,
use the "System managed size" option, click set and apply and ok if
necessary, reboot and see if the problem goes away.
