problem with administrator
Posted by Anthony Britt on September 19th, 2003

Originally, I was the only user of my computer. I set my
wife up as a user. Now neither one of us are set as the
administartor. what can we do to fix this?

Hi Anthony,

Login as administrator, press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the Welcome Screen and
type the password (if set). For XP Home Edition, boot into safe mode and
login as built-in administrator (password is blank by default).

Change the account type of an user to "Administrator". You can do this from
Control Panel > User Accounts. > Account type.
