Every other time that I shut my system down I get the End Program window
stating that it is ending sgtray.exe. What is sgtray.exe and what does
it do?

SGtray is the System Guard Tray Icon. It is part of an update manager and is
used by at least Veritas and Sonic.

My suggestion would be too use Start --> run --> msconfig. Look in startup
and see if it is there then uncheck it.
