Stop erroer message, blurscreen when startin up the computer
Posted by ljustin2000 on January 23rd, 2008

Hi!

I hope that I'm in the right part of the forum.

I've had some problems with virus, i.e. trojan.zlob, trojan.anserin and
other of that kind of stuff that I got from a file I thougt a friend send to
me. My antivirus system, Norton, warned me about it and I've tried for about
24 hours to follow their instructions how to delete the virus. This includes
remove som files from the register editor. After I was done and was rebooting
from safe mode to normal mode my computer will read in XP but before I enter
XP
I get an error message on a blue background, like DOS. It says that an error
has accurred and that windows has been shut down to prevent problems.

The technical error message is:

*** STOP: 0x0000007E (0x0000005, 0xF76c3c74, 0xF6164c58, 0xF6164954)

*** fve[an icon I've never seen befor but looks lika a T without the right
part of the horizental line]wow.sys - address F76c3c74 base at F76c2000,
datestamp 4796e2a4

Did I delete anything I shouldn't had in the register editor or is this
something else?

EDIT: Now the error message has change to:

*** STOP: 0x0000007E (0x0000005, 0xF7723c74, 0xF618Fc58, 0xF618F954)

*** fve[an icon I've never seen befor but looks lika a T without the right
part of the horizental line]wow.sys - address F7723c74 base at F7722000,
datestamp 4796e2a4

And I can't start my computer in safe mode. The screen will just go black
except for the DOS marker line at the top left, but I can't do anything.

If I try to start the computer with the last configurations that worked I
get different technical information all the time in the same error message as
above.
In the first line the first 2 sets of numbers and letter is the same as
above but not the last 3. In the second line the datestamp is the same as
above but the other sets of numbers and letters is different all the time
(tried 3 times).

So right now I can't get any further than to this blue error screen. Someone
please help me!
