Perhaps your applications are not compatible with XP's security setup in
this regard. Have you always had this issue with your setup or is this
recent? If it's recent, you might try using System Restore to take your
system back to a time prior to when this began. Start\All
Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
