Error message "Windows Update was disabled by your system administrator".
Article 326686 says to run gpedit.msc. Error msg says cannot find. Search
indicates has been removed from XP Home. How do I enable Windows Update.
Tried reinstal of Explorer but did not help.

GPEDIT isnt available on xp home,only xp pro...As for update,on pc start,tap
the F8 key,select safe mode,enter xp as administrator,reset windows update
in system properties,or R.click my computer,properties,update.Once thru,open
internet options,settings,advanced,view objects,R.click each at a
time,select:
"update" close out when thru,restart pc.
